Caito Foods Recalls All Pre-Cut Melon After FDA Salmonella Warning

Not that we have to tell you, but keep an eye out for those melons.

The Food and Drug Administration is warning people to be on the lookout for precut mellon tied to a salmonella outbreak.
While no deaths have been reported, at least 60 people have become sick and there’ve been about 30 hospitalizations. Yeah, all because of filler fruit.
In response, Caito Foods has recalled packages of watermelon, honeydew melon, and cantaloupe distributed in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio. Stores from Walmart to Whole Foods are involved.
But gross ass melon isn’t the only thing you need to look out for.
Tyson has recalled more than 3,000 pounds of chicken due to plastic poisoning. Tasty.
The involved products are labeled “frozen, uncooked and breaded chicken tenderloins” with lot code 1378NLR02. It’s probably best just to chuck those out.
