Happy Friday! The 13th. While you avoid all those black cats here's a few freaky facts about this infamous date: The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskevidekatriaphobia. While nobody is exactly sure where all the brew-haha behind the unlucky day comes from, many people believe it originates from the Last Supper. Remember, there were 13 guests at the meal. And we all know how that night ended. But since then a lot of other not-so-good things have happened on Friday the 13th. In October 1989, the stock exchange suffered a major crash, the second most damaging in market history at the time. Music fans may recall that Tupac died on Friday the 13th in September 1996, six days after he was shot in Las Vegas. On Friday, January 13th 2012, the cruise ship Costa Concordia ran aground, more than 30 people died in that disaster. And here's one to look forward to: In exactly 11 years, a more than 1,000 foot wide asteroid, will pass relatively close to earth. According to NASA, it will be even closer than geosynchronous satellites. Yay!
