Army Lifts Ban On Recruits with Mental Health Issues

According to documents obtained by USA Today, the U.S. Army is now taking applicants with histories of mental illness, drug abuse and self-mutilation.

The policy, which allows people with mental health conditions to seek waivers to join the Army, was enacted in August, but went unannounced.
