According to newly approved Navy regulations announced on a Facebook Live broadcast, female sailors can soon rock several new hairstyles including locs, ponytails and even below the collar styles in certain uniforms
Loc hairstyles and buns will now be allowed for women in all uniforms while ponytails can be worn in service, working or physical-training uniforms -- provided there's no safety hazard
The Navy says they believe that policies and regulations shouldn't just make the Navy more lethal toward its adversaries, but should also make the service more inclusive
