NFL Takes Stand Against Kneeling With New Policy

Don’t expect to see players taking a knee during the National Anthem anytime soon.

The NFL just announced the franchise owners have approved a policy that mandates “league and team personnel shall stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.” Anyone who disagrees is allowed to stay in the locker room until after the Anthem is over. The league has also been empowered to fine any team that’s members do not stand or show respect during the anthem. Franchises are also able to fine their own players. The NFL Player’s Association is already firing back at the decision. In a statement, the organization said the new policy contradicts what has been previously discussed about the principles, values and patriotism in the league. We’ll see how this shakes out in September. But what do you think about the policy? Let us know in the comments!
